Is there any readable text at all
A scan, a photo or an image export has no text layer, so the whole application arrives blank. This is the one failure that is total.
Do columns run together
Two blocks of text sharing a line, far apart across the page, come out interleaved.
Are contact details reachable
Header and footer content is skipped by a number of parsers, so a phone number that only lives up there may as well not exist.
Are tables used for layout
Cells are emitted in the order they are stored, which is rarely the order you read them in.
Do icon characters leak into the text
Symbol fonts leave behind characters that have no letter behind them.
Are the section headings recognisable
Matchers look for Experience, Education and Skills. A creative heading is not wrong, it is just invisible.
How long is the file
Past two pages, most screeners stop.
Why there is no score here
Every tool in this category gives you a percentage. There is no standard behind those numbers: each site invents its own weighting, and the score mostly exists to make you anxious enough to subscribe. What can actually be observed is what a parser extracts from your file. So that is what this shows you, in full, next to the specific thing that caused each problem. You can read the extracted text and check every claim yourself, which is not something a percentage lets you do. The same reasoning shapes the fix. A list of things wrong with your resume is homework. The rebuilt document is the work, and it is on screen for free whether you buy the clean file or not.
